Some more night stuff
With the full moon approaching I've been out photographing the last three nights. I think tomorrow night is the full moon, so I'll probably be getting out for the next couple of nights. I'm sort of ready for winter when the moon is full starting at 5 pm instead of 9:00. Photographing until 2:30 am is getting a little tiresome.

Photos are pretty cool, Darren. But I couldn't stay up that late! Sounds like you are starting to rethink that also! Best to get your "Beauty" sleep!
Hey, have you been sneaking into movies lately, huh? I like the second teton drive in image.

That's so cool how you were able to catch the projector!
I never thought I would see the day when you said you were looking forward to winter
Nice to see you out and about again. Is the injury feeling better?
Interesting. I too like the projector. I think that the multiple shadows (presumable from the different light sources) are interesting. I also like the way that these look like daytime shots until you start to look closely and notice things like the stars, etc.
HEY, those photos look familiar. Looks like I'll have to race you to the blog posting so I get first credit.
i like the shot of the tripod....er, silo best. then the tree.
Ha ha! Just be grateful you HAVE night to take photos of! Up here its always too bright in the summer to do any kind of night photography: no stars, no moonlit trails, nada. :) But I understand your frustration.
The annual Perseid shower is fast approaching, you might want to try some night images during the peak, (usually the first part of August). I used to photograph both the Perseid and Leonid showers from SDL's observatory at Bear Lake. Some of the showers were very impressive - over 30 meteors per minute! The star trails in these shots remind me of them.
