Susan
I came up to the school to install a scanner. In order to see if it works I scanned the first negative I could find in my files. It happened to be this one of Susan. It was taken at Louisiana State University in 1998. She sure looks serious, but gorgeous of course. I hope I'm not in trouble for posting this. I sure miss that Louisiana light.

I think you look glamorous Susan! When I have a serious look it's more like "get out of my way before I gouge out your eyeballs". You look mysterious when you are serious. :)

I'm with Carrie...this is an incredible photo. (It takes an incredible subject to get an incredible photo, plus a great photographer...)
i don't know susan, but i think that is a great image. it reminds me of an emmitt gowin shot.

Mark, I think I know the Gowin image you're talking about. He is one of my favorites. I'd be happy to work a trade for a pt/pd print.
You don't usually see Susan that serious! And Carrie is right...she looks a bit out of sorts! I still love her though!!!

Yeah, that is really nice light and I do like that portrait. No Susan doesn't look like she's on drugs. I wish I had an image of Polla like that one.
This is a fantastic image, Darren...in fact I think that it is the first Portrait I have seen of yours...
I thought it felt like a Richard Avedon myself...but I will have to research Gowin, I don't think I am farmiliar with him....Oh yea! That's who Emmitt Gowin is!
