-20

I think every school in Eastern Idaho is closed today except BYU-Idaho of course. This has been quite a winter so far. We've had snow, wind and cold temperatures. I think it's the first winter we've had since moving to Rexburg that matches up to some of the typical eastern Idaho winters I remember as a child.

At the risk of sound old, I remember those days at Ricks College when it got down to -30, and they still wouldn't let girls wear slacks to school. Talk about cruelty! Hope your water pipes don't freeze.

On the news last night they said it was -67 in Siberia and it showed people walking around outside all bundled up. Brrrrrr.

-20 is still pretty impressive though, you should ask your classes what unique experiences they've had due to the cold...frozen tears, frozen boogies, slipping and falling on the ice (always a favorite to observe on the college campus), frozen pipes...
