Chukars
Tracie called the other night and invited us to an Idaho Falls Chukars (minor league baseball) Game. Her friend Jeff's work was having a company party at the game and he got discount tickets and the price even included dinner (pizza and soda) and t-shirts for the kids. We decided it would be fun. It was fun, and it's something that we'd like to do a bit more often. Here are some photos from the evening.

The older boys testing their pitching speed (Kevin threw 38 miles an hour, Ethan didn't throw fast and/or accurate enough for the radar gun)

Kevin waiting for foul balls (he almost got a couple)
Oh yeah, the Chukars beat the Missoula Osprey 8-2.

Go Chukars! We went to a Bees game about a month ago, and that was a lot of fun. We didn't get cool t-shirts, though. Just keychains.
Fun time! We enjoyed the Bees game we went to in SLC, too.
I remember going to the then Idaho Falls Braves games with my brothers and cousins when I was your kids ages. We'd always go through the garbage cans and dig out the plastic cups they sold the beer in, and I remember our parents getting pretty angry with us for it. I think we've still got a couple of the cups floating around somewhere.
Nothing like a good ball game. We're going to a Bees game this Friday, and I'm really looking forward to it (plus there are fireworks after the game).
That baseball team's name always makes me laugh. If you're familiar with the Seinfeld episode, "The Boyfriend," you would know why. "Who's the chukar?" Also, those student photography examples are very impressive.
