Jon was kind enough to give us a ficus tree a few months ago. It does really well in our front room. It's now as tall as our ceiling. I love the way the lamp lights it from underneath and casts shadows on the ceiling.
That is so cool. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on. First I thought it was a digital collage. Then I was trying to figure out if it was in front of a window. Finally I figured out it was against the ceiling. The colors are very sunset like.
I really enjoy your work from around your house. Your yard photographs come to mind.
I teach photography at a private University in Rexburg, Idaho. I am married and have three sons. My time is divided between teaching, photographing, birding, and hanging out.

Nicely done.
I'm glad you like it. The warm colors come from the lamp, the cool colors come from the blue light outside that illuminates the shadows.
By the way, I'm a little offended that you think I would ever do some sort of digital collage. Blasphemous indeed.
Yes, well . . .
Will you accept my deepest apology?
