Sand Dunes

I drove up to the Sand Dunes this morning. I had intended to photograph people sledding on the hills, but when I arrived nobody was there (it was 8 degrees after all). I grabbed the 8x10 camera and walked out through the snow to a small group of trees isolated in the hills ca. 1/2 mile away. That camera was heavy, my feet were freezing, but it was beautiful and I soon forgot how uncomfortable I was (usually a sign that things are going well). I made a few nice photographs with the big camera as well as these digital snaps. When I got back to the car people had arrived and were sledding down the hills. I was too cold to care.

Wow, those photographs are beautiful. I love the white on white in the middle image.

Very well done.

Sold. You're cheap. Mark wants $1 million. I'll take 10 at that price.

I think I'll frame my own and save a little money. Must be one impressive mat and frame.
