Spring is here. I dont' care what anybody says.
I know spring isn't supposed to arrive for 3 more weeks, but the Crocuses are blooming in the planter next to our home. Never mind the fact that the planter sits right against the south-facing side of our house and gets warmth from the sun and the house. Never mind that most of our yard is still covered with a foot of snow. Never mind that I still have to scrape my car windows in the morning. Spring is here.

flower pictures are swell!
I just posted a spring update on my blog too! I didn't even realize you did the same. Scary...
I love your optimism. I think it has rubbed off and as a result has made this winter go by especially fast.
I need spring to come so I can get out of this house and stop eating!!! Great crocus photo--hope really does "spring" eternal...
you've just got to keep saying it, like a mantra. if you say it long enough(like until may)then maybe it will get warm. oh, it was about 68 today here in northern california, and sunny with a blue sky, big white clouds, and ridiculously vibrant green hills. but of course i miss rexburg. you should come visit. there's an extra room, and i see birds here all of the time, which i think you would like.
Nice shot...here in the Portland area begins the annual battle of the plants vs the slugs. They haven't bothered the azealas, rhododendrons or jasmine plant yet. You know what a little salt does when you pour it on a slug?
