Kite Flying

Kevin and Ethan's Uncle Ryan and Aunt LaCee sent them each a kite the other day. This afternoon I took them up to an open area near Kevin's school to fly them. Kevin had cut the tail off of his kite, so it just spun in circles. Ethan's kite (a sweet teenage mutan ninja turtles one) flew remarkably well. It was great to be out with the kids.

I love these pictures! You are a good dad! Carson keeps begging us to go fly a kite. For some reason I keep putting it off.

Well, you should do as he wishes. It was really a lot of fun.

Ryan was here the other day and was wondering if they had received the kites. I'll be sure and tell him to check out your blog.

Darren, Well, these wonderful kite pictures took me back to my childhood! We used to make kites out of wood and tissue paper, most of the day was spent chasing the kite after it got away! Thanks!

I just realized something fun. Kevin's face in this picture looks a LOT like your picture that appears next to your blog comments!

Way to go Super-Dad. Was Kevin bummed that his kite was stuck in eternal circles?

Reminds me of going up to Fort Casey on Whidby Island and seeing people flying those huge, fancy kites that were huge (and hugely expensive). Good job, Dad Darren!
