Dirt in Snowy Field

Winter started out pretty harsh, but we haven't seen snow for a while now and temperatures have been hovering just below freezing for a couple of weeks (although the temps early in the morning are usually near zero). I'd actually like a bit more snow to clean things up a bit. I'm posting a photograph of a partially melted/wind blown field near town. Could it be the first sign of spring, or am I far too optimistic?

I can't pinpoint exactly why, but this picture speaks to me! I love it!!! I'm an optimist so maybe I like it because I can imagine my spring bulbs getting ready to sprout. Beautiful sky!

Couldn't Idaho use a few more days of snow before spring hits. I mean - nothing like last year but at least a little more snow would help the farmers wouldn't it?

I'm kidding when I say spring is almost here. I know we're in for a couple more months of misery. A guy can dream though can't he?
